Christopher Hemsworth known as Chris Hemsworth was born on 11 August 1983 in Melbourne, Australia. He is 38 years old as of now (2022). Hemsworth’s mother was an English teacher and his father a social-services counsellor. He has two brothers, Luke Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth, they both also became actors.
He studied at the well-known coeducational government secondary college ‘Heathmont College’ in Heathmont, Victoria. After a few years, his family relocated to south-southeast of Melbourne, Victoria, in an island called Phillip Island.

Early 2010 saw him dating Spanish actress Elsa Pataky and they married in December that year at the time of Christmas holidays. They have blessed with three children – a daughter, India Rose, who was born on May 11, 2012 and Sasha and Tristan, their twin sons who were born on March 18, 2014. Chris Hemsworth was in a relationship with Isabel Lucas before engaging with Elsa Pataky.
Career:
Hemsworth started his career by appearing in several television series. In 2002, Hemsworth starred with two episodes of fantasy television series Guinevere Jones as King Arthur, as well as making an appearance in soap opera series Neighbours and one episode of Marshall Law. The following year, he appeared in an episode of The Saddle Club. In 2004, Hemsworth auditioned for the role of Robbie Hunter in Australian soap opera Home and Away. He did not receive the part, but was subsequently recalled for the part of Kim Hyde.
In November 2010, The Hollywood Reporter named Hemsworth as one of the young male actors who are “pushing – or being pushed” onto the Hollywood “A-List”. His first starring role came with the American independent crime-thriller flick ‘Ca$h’ that released in March 2010. Thereafter, he went on to prove his versatility playing varied roles with great oomph and style.
He was also one of the contestants of the Australian version of ‘Dancing with the Stars’. The 2012 American superhero film ‘The Avengers’ saw him reprising the iconic character of Thor. That film came out as the third highest-grosser of the worldwide.
On November 4, 2016, American superhero film ‘Doctor Strange’ emerged as a blockbuster garnering critical acclaim. The film saw Hemsworth reprising the character of Thor in its mid-credits scene. Other remarkable films of Hemsworth include ‘A Perfect Getaway’, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’, ‘Blackhat’, ‘Rush’ and ‘Vacation’.
In 2020, Hemsworth appeared in the American action-thriller movie “Extraction” along with Indian actor Randeep Hooda. Extraction full movie is available on Netflix. Moreover, the movie became the most-watched original film in Netflix’s history.
Hemsworth’s appearance in the franchise would almost cost him the role of Thor, as producers of the Marvel film franchise feared fans would be put off. Hemsworth is best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 2021, he became one of the world’s highest-paid actors.
