Who is Madonna? What are they interests and works?

Madonna is one of the  unique and most booming artists in the olden times of popular music. No other female singer in music had been as successful over much a long time. Also an actress, author, activist, diva, pop cultural and fashion icon, many consider, Madonna to be one of the most iconic and influential figures of the late 20th century.

Madonna Louise Cyclone was born on August 16, 1958, in Bay City, Michigan. At the age of five, she lost her mother to breath cancer. This had effect on her music throughout her life. After the death of her mother, her brother and sister were sent to live with various relatives.

Schooling Journey

When Madonna was twelve, she entered a local Catholic High School. It was there that she learns a great deal from classes such as, tap, jazz dancing, Baton twirling and Gymnastics. After completing her Schooling, she attended the University of Michigan, on a dance scholarship, where the ballet school owner, ‘Chris Flynn’, taught her.

Later, she arrived in New York and won a scholarship at the “Alvin Lily Dance Theater”, where she spent two years working hard at her classes while holding part-time jobs at various fast food restaurants for some extra money.

Early Life and Professional Voyage

She started auditioning for theatrical and musical parts. One of the auditions ended up taking her to Paris where she was backing a lead singer, Patrick Hernandez. Hernandez’s management realized that Madonna had talent but refused to pay her more when she requested it, so she moved back to New York.

She joined her friend’s band as a drummer but quieted soon and set out to start own band, with her as the lead singer. She finally got a record deal with Gotham records for $100 a week with Steve Brays her drummer and so writer.
She eventually got a deal with Sire Records for $5000 and released her first singer everybody, which sold about 250,000 copies and was number three on the dance chart. Madonna’s first album entitled Madonna was released in 1983 and won her millions of fans and invitations to be movies. Her career had begun. She had much accomplishment in the year 1985 for her various albums.

On August 16, 1985, Madonna and Sean Penn were married. However, Madonna officially divorced Sean Penn on January 10, 1989, on the terms of irreconcilable differences.

In December 2000, she married Guy Ritchie, a British film director. In 2002 Madonna starred in Ritchie’s film, Swept Away and sang the theme song for Bond movie, James Bond 007: Din another Day. In 2003, Madonna released her hit album, American Life. Guinness World Record listed her as the world’s most successful female recording artist of all time.

In September 2009, Madonna released Celebrating, her third greatest hits album, and closing release with Warner bros. The album became Madonna’s eleventh number-one album in the UK Albums Chart, typing her with Elvis Presley as the solo act the most number-one albums in the British chart history.

In June, Forbes Magazine named her the third-most-powerful celebrity of the year. Madonna appeared at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on September 13, 2009, to pay tribute to Michael Jackson with a speech.

Achievements of Life

Madonna third live album Sticky & Sweet was released in April 2010. In February 2011 her song a ‘’Revolver’’, reauxed by David Guetta won an award at her 53rd Annual Grammy Award for ‘’Best Remix Recording.’’ In 2012, she was crowned the ‘’Greatest Woman in Music’’ by VH1.As of 2013, Madonna’s net worth has crossed over one billion dollars. Forbes magazine named Madonna the fifth most powerful and the highest earning celebrity of 2013 with net earnings of $125 million between June 2012-13.

Rebel heart, album was released in March 2015. In November 2016, Madonna, who actively supported Hillary Clinton during the 2016 U.S. presidential election, performed an impromptu acoustic concert at Washington Square Park in support of Clinton’s campaign. In February 2017, Madonna adopted four- year- old twin sisters from Malawi named Esther and Stella.
