Introduction:
Eknath Sambhaji Shinde is currently serving as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He is a Maharashtra State Government Cabinet Minister – PWD from Government of Maharashtra. He is current member of Legislative Assembly from Kopri-pachpakhadi of Thane, Maharashtra, India as a member of Shiv Sena.

Eknath Shinde was born on Sunday, 9 February 1964 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is 58 years old as of now. His father’s name is Sambhaji Navlu Shinde and His mother’s name is Gangubai Sambhaji Shinde. She was died on 18 April 2019. He has one brother whose name is Prakash Sambhaji Shinde, he is councilor at Thane Municipal Corporation.
He is married to Lata Eknath Shinde. She is in construction business. This couple has a son whose name is Shrikant Shinde who is a politician and an orthopaedic surgeon.
Education & Carrier:
He completed his 11th class at Mangala High School & Junior College, Thane. He also went too studied from Thane Municipal Corporation School, Kisan Nagar and Rajendra Pal Mangla Hindi High School in Thane. In 1980s, when he was in the auto rickshaw driving business, where he was introduced with Shivsena supremo Bal Thackeray and Shivsena’s Thane District Chief Anand Dighe, who is helped him to join Shiv Sena. Soon after joining Shiv Sena, he was elected as the Sakha Pramukh of Kisan Nagar in 1980.
Firstly, in 1997 he was elected for Thane Municipal Corporation as a corporator. After that in 2001 he was elected for the post of Thane Municipal Corporation’s house leader. In 2002, he was appointed for the second time for post of Thane Municipal Corporation. Then, in 2004 he was firstly elected for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. While in 2009 Shinde was elected again for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Till 2014 he was elected for the third time for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
In 2014, he resumed his studies after becoming a minister in the BJP-Shivsena government and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Marathi and subjects with distinction from Vashvantrao Chavan Open University, Maharashtra.
From 2014 to 2019 he was elected as a Cabinet Minister of Public Works (PU) in the Maharashtra State government. He was appointed as a Shiv Sena Party Leader in 2018. In 2019, He was appointed as Cabinet Minister under Maha-Vikas-Aghadi, led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. While in 2020, he was appointed as a Thane District guardian minister.
On 30 June 2022, he was sworn in as the 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
