Who is Mukesh Ambani?
Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani was born on April 19, 1957, in Aden, Yemen to Dhirubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani. is an Indian business tycoon and the Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).
He is one of the wealthiest people in the world. His father used to work at a film in Yemen before he moved to Mumbai in 1958. For his education, Mukesh attended Hill Grange High School, Mumbai.
School Life and Career
After he completed his high school, he attended the Institute of Chemical Technology. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1980, started study Business Administration at Stanford University, but later quite collage.
Establishment of Reliance
Mukesh wanted to assist his father received a in their family company, Reliance. He played a central role in growing the business legacy. Under his leadership, Reliance Industries expected into sectors like petroleum refining, petrochemicals and gas exploration. He also set up Reliance Communication.
In 1980, Mukesh’s father received a license from the government, over their competition like Tata, Birla, and others companies. In 1981, formally joined Reliance Industries. His father had allotted him a polyester factory.
Mukesh boosted the yarn manufacturing business for his father’s company and spread it to the rural areas in India. Then, he doubled the business of petrochemicals. He was able to create many new world-class manufacturing facilities that raised Reliance’s production volume.
The next industry he grew was Reliance Infocom Limited. It was one of the most notable achievements. It was now known as the largest and most complex information and communications Technology Company in the world.
After Father Passed Away Journey
Ambani experienced turmoil when his father passed away. The two Ambani brothers faced conflict over the ownership of Reliance. The crisis was settled by their mother, Kokilaben. Mukesh Ambani gained ownership of the oil, textile and refining businesses. Anil Ambani, his brother, took over the management and entertainment sectors of reliance.

In 2010, he received many honors like the Global Leadership Award and an honorary D.Sc. (Doctor of Science. In 2013, Ambani was declared as the ‘Millennium business Leader of the Decade’ Awards.
In 2014, he was ranked 36 on Forbes’ list of the world’s most powerful people. He was also awarded the Asia Society Leadership Award. Mukesh married Nita Ambani in 1985. The couple have three children.
