Salman Khan, born on December 27, 1965, is one of the most popular Bollywood actors. He is not only an actor but also a film producer, singer, and television personality. He is the son of famous Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan and his first wife Sushila Charak. Salman has two brothers, actor-producer Arbaaz Khan and actor-producer Sohail Khan, and two sisters, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Arpita Khan Sharma.

Early Life and Career

Salman Khan was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, but spent most of his childhood in Mumbai. He attended St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai, and later enrolled in St. Xavier’s College, but dropped out after the first year. He then pursued his passion for acting and began attending acting classes at the Mithibai College in Mumbai.

Salman started his acting career with a small role in the film Biwi Ho To Aisi in 1988, which starred Rekha and Farooq Sheikh. He made his debut as a lead actor in the film Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989, which became a blockbuster hit and won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

Salman Khan has been embroiled in many controversies throughout his career. In 1998, he was arrested for hunting two blackbucks in Rajasthan during the shooting of his film Hum Saath Saath Hain. In 2002, he was involved in a hit-and-run case in Mumbai, where he allegedly ran over a group of people sleeping on the pavement, killing one person and injuring several others. The case went on for years, and in 2015, he was found guilty and sentenced to five years in jail. However, he appealed his conviction, and in 2016, he was acquitted by the Bombay High Court.

In 2018, he was also involved in a controversy when he made a derogatory comment about the Valmiki community on a television show. This led to protests and calls for his arrest.
